About the role

BetterUp is looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to support the Services organization. This position sits within a Strategy & Business Operations team that works closely with Services and Delivery to uncover data-backed insights and run cross-functional initiatives that help coaching scale.

The role is centered on helping build a new go-to-market motion focused on earning CxO engagement through peer relationships and a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach. Success in this position requires comfort working with senior leadership and the board, along with the ability to turn complex business problems into clear action plans and measurable outcomes.

This is a high-intensity, high-impact role for someone who enjoys structured problem-solving, operational rigor, and executive-level communication.

Work model

This is a hybrid position. Team members are expected to work from an office hub at least two days per week, or eight days per month. US hub options include Austin, TX; New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; and the Washington, DC metro area. For Europe-based roles, hub locations include London, UK and Amsterdam, NL. Candidates should be able to reliably meet this in-person collaboration requirement.

Key responsibilities

  • Research enterprise accounts and key stakeholders within the target segment.
  • Prepare executive-level communications and supporting materials outside of formal proposals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, workflows, and collaboration across internal groups.
  • Manage engagement with CxOs at prospect organizations to keep priorities aligned.
  • Own RFP response efforts, including response strategy and coordination of the needed materials.
  • Independently build complete analyses for individual projects.
  • Translate project findings into practical recommendations that help partners improve the coaching platform.
  • Track multiple initiatives at different stages and keep them moving in parallel.
  • Strengthen data-informed decision-making across functions.
  • Develop reports and tools that improve executive decision-making.
  • Help build agreement around analytical insights and next steps.
  • Work alongside functional leaders across the business.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a similar field, along with strong analytical instincts and an organized, execution-focused working style. The role also calls for someone who is comfortable handling both strategic and tactical work, can operate with urgency, and communicates well in complex interpersonal settings.
