Store Supervisor

About the Role

WHSmith is seeking a proactive and people-oriented Store Supervisor for the evening and weekend shift at Shannon Airport in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will help oversee the store’s day-to-day operations and set the tone for the team by leading through example.

• Support customers with confidence, energy, and a service-focused approach.
• Build knowledge of the store and its customer base, then share useful feedback that helps improve the customer experience.
• Understand daily targets and look for practical ways to help the store achieve them.
• Review dashboards, receipts, and TPC performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Complete all required legal, food safety, and due diligence checks each day.
• Carry out daily cash reviews and operator checks.
• Log, follow up, and monitor issues through the Feedback system, MML, or IT channels.
• Help keep the store safe, compliant, and legally sound at all times.
• Encourage an inclusive and supportive environment where team members feel respected and valued.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and act on the feedback you receive.
• Promote good practices and positive behaviours across the team.
• Support new starters and help strengthen team culture.
