Steel Drum Roller Operator

Role Overview

A civil and road infrastructure contractor is looking for skilled Roller Operators to support active works across the Brisbane area, with projects spanning Queensland and New South Wales. The assignment includes the possibility of immediate commencement, away work, Monday to Friday shifts, and overtime.

What Is On Offer

• Hourly pay of $40 to $42, plus applicable penalties

Key Duties

• Operate rollers in a safe and efficient manner
• Carry out roller work on asphalt crews
• Support bulk earthworks and civil construction activities
• Work safely around utilities and in confined or restricted spaces
• Assist site teams or labour crews when needed
• Follow all site safety requirements and supervisor instructions

Candidate Profile

• Hold a current RII for roller operation
• Have prior experience working alongside asphalt crews
• Bring experience from civil, road, or infrastructure projects
• Be able to work safely in busy traffic areas and tight work zones
• Have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Extra machinery tickets such as Excavator, Moxy, or Skid Steer are highly valued
