About the Role
This position is for a Software Lifecycle Engineer who will contribute to training and improving AI systems through coding-focused tasks. The role sits within a large community of engineers working across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related disciplines to create practical impact in AI development.
You will work on varied programming assignments alongside advanced AI models, including solving difficult coding challenges, building polished applications with substantial functionality, and analyzing data to generate insights and visualizations. Your input helps refine intelligent systems so they can learn and improve over time.
The work can be handled as a side commitment by some professionals, while others may choose to make it their main focus and select projects and working times based on their availability.
How the Process Works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid assignments will be made available through the platform.
Responsibilities
- Create and solve a wide range of coding problems used to train AI models, with particular focus on Android development.
- Produce well-structured code examples along with clear explanations.
- Review AI-produced code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
- Share feedback that influences how future AI systems are improved.
Qualifications
- You should be fluent in English at a native or bilingual level.
- Experience with Kotlin is preferred.
- You must be skilled in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
- Strong writing ability and solid grammar are required.
- A bachelor’s degree is required, whether completed or still in progress.
- Prior experience working as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.
Contract and Payment Details
This is an independent contractor arrangement. Compensation is paid hourly, starting at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with some projects offering higher rates. Payment is processed through PayPal, and currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. You will never be asked to pay any money to participate.
Location and Eligibility
This opportunity is available only in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants outside these locations will not see available work or assessments. The role can be completed from home using your own computer, on a schedule you choose.
Important Notes
Some of the work is designed to fit around a full-time job, while other contributors use it as their main professional focus. The ability to choose projects and manage your own time is a key part of the arrangement.
