Role Overview
This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on managing the resort’s social presence and creating engaging digital content that reflects the brand’s standards and supports wider business goals.
Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator, and investor with a portfolio of more than 530 properties across 50+ countries in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America. Its brands include Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow, and TIVOLI.
The Social Media Assistant / Content Creator is expected to handle social media activities efficiently while upholding strong ethical standards that protect the company’s reputation and reinforce confidence in the quality of its products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, plan, and coordinate social media content that is engaging and suited to the hotel’s channels.
- Work closely with photographers, videographers, and other creatives to produce high-quality visual and written content.
- Build and manage a social media strategy that supports the property’s business objectives and brand identity.
- Develop content plans that are consistent with the company’s tone, messaging, and visual guidelines.
- Write, edit, and publish regular social media posts across platforms while maintaining content quality and consistency.
- Handle a large daily volume of posts and keep the hotel’s channels active and current.
- Prepare and maintain the social media calendar for the hotel and F&B accounts in line with promotions, key messages, and marketing plans.
- Respond to follower queries and messages in a prompt and professional manner.
- Stay informed about new trends, tools, and best practices in social media marketing.
- Recommend improvements to social strategies to strengthen results and performance.
- Identify opportunities for influencer partnerships, marketing collaborations, and brand activations.
- Propose campaign ideas and social initiatives that help increase engagement and revenue.
- Ensure all content and campaign activity follows brand guidelines.
- Plan and execute both short-term and long-term campaign objectives, including target KPIs and performance tracking.
- Coordinate with operational teams to communicate offers and promotions related to F&B, rooms, and spa packages.
- Carry out social media audits and suggest practical improvements for the hotel’s channels.
- Assess social media performance and share clear updates with hotel management.
