Role overview
Qatar Airways is hiring a Senior CBI Analyst to join its Commercial team in Doha, Qatar. This position focuses on strengthening revenue performance in international markets by supporting fare products, incentive schemes, and other tactical actions across assigned markets.
The role requires continuous review of the results produced by revenue-driving actions, with the aim of refining products, incentives, and sales tactics to improve outcomes over time. It also involves close coordination with Sales and Marketing teams, with regular reporting on market trends, KPI movements, and the effectiveness of products, incentives, and tactical initiatives. In this position, you will act as the owner of performance improvement efforts and provide recommendations that help shape better commercial results.
Key accountabilities
- Examine revenue data to uncover opportunities to improve campaigns, fare structures, and incentive programmes.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to highlight areas needing attention and share insights on KPIs, market trends, product performance, and tactical initiatives across all distribution channels.
- Own and lead commercial projects aimed at improving sales effectiveness, including defining project objectives and tracking performance gains.
- Coordinate with regional offices and country leaders to execute CBI strategy.
- Study large-scale industry trends and emerging business opportunities to identify best practices and revenue growth possibilities.
- Coach junior team members in analytics, tools, modelling, and other required analytical tasks.
- Perform complex analytical work, including network gauging, connectivity analysis, and post-mortem reviews, and create reusable templates to streamline future analysis.
- Prepare detailed project plans and run regular stakeholder meetings to keep all involved parties informed of progress.
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for regional and senior management to improve revenue generation.
- Build business cases supporting changes to fare structures, incentives, and other structural revenue drivers to enhance performance.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant holds a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Business, Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, and brings at least 4 years of relevant work experience. The role calls for strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
You should have hands-on experience processing and analysing large volumes of data, turning that information into practical insights, and presenting recommendations that management can act on. Strong team leadership ability is also essential.
