Role summary

Reporting to the Director of Compliance Services, the Senior Associate – Compliance Solutions will play an important role in the team’s delivery. The position is centred on helping clients operate confidently within a changing regulatory landscape by combining practical expertise, strong technical knowledge, and broad international reach.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients and internal teams on a day-to-day basis with compliance and AML-related deliverables.
• Act as Compliance Officer, MLRO, and potentially Risk Officer where required.
• Create, update, and refine policies and procedures aligned to regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and run compliance monitoring and testing activities, including desk-based file and process reviews.
• Maintain professional development in line with internal expectations and external standards.
• Assist with or deliver training on compliance, AML, and corporate governance topics.
• Provide outsourced, authorisation, and project support to ADGM, DIFC, and onshore entities.
• Ensure regulatory filings and required notifications are completed on time and liaise with regulators as needed.
• Carry out client onboarding and KYC checks.
• Serve as the initial contact for internal suspicious activity reports and support external SAR submissions to the financial intelligence unit and regulator.
• Manage client expectations effectively.
• Participate in internal meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Work with senior colleagues to investigate compliance risk matters and draft routine correspondence.
• Support the firm’s presence at industry events and promotional activities, including publication-related work.
• Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, internal standards, and business priorities.
• Maintain accurate timesheets daily and meet weekly target requirements set by management.
• Keep client files complete, current, and well organised.
• Assist with drafting proposals and engagement letters.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in Compliance, AML, or with a regulator is required.
• A degree-level education or equivalent is preferred.
• The candidate is expected to obtain an AML or Compliance certificate within 3 months of joining.
• The ideal applicant will have strong knowledge of Compliance, AML, and Risk Management and be capable of working independently to help shape policy and organisational culture.
• An internationally recognised third-level professional qualification is required.
