Role Summary
This full-time, on-site School Manager position at Totos corner education center is based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role is responsible for running day-to-day school operations, including academic timetabling, coordination of staff, student support services, and general administrative functions. The School Manager will also ensure that school policies and procedures are properly implemented, supervise teaching and support teams, and help maintain a safe, inclusive, and orderly learning environment.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily operations across academic, administrative, and student service areas.
- Coordinate school schedules and ensure smooth execution of timetables and routines.
- Supervise teaching and support staff and monitor adherence to school procedures.
- Work with educators to support curriculum delivery and instructional quality.
- Plan and facilitate staff training and professional development activities.
- Assist in hiring, selection, and onboarding of teachers and other staff members.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to support student and school needs.
- Track school performance measures and help implement improvement actions.
- Maintain a secure, inclusive, and well-organized school setting.
- Support record-keeping, policy application, and general administrative processes.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in education and teaching, with the ability to contribute to academic programs and uphold instructional standards. Prior experience in school leadership or educational management is preferred, especially in primary or secondary school settings. A Bachelor’s degree in Education, School Administration, or a related discipline is required, and advanced qualifications will be considered an added advantage.
