Responsibilities

• Keep assigned spaces clean and orderly, including classrooms, corridors, washrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep floors, pick up debris, handle spills, and mop designated areas.
• Inspect trash containers regularly and empty them when needed.
• Use chemical cleaning products and powered equipment correctly to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.
• Report minor or major repair needs and possible additions or changes to building systems to the lead cleaner or manager.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Gather, sort, and place recycling in the correct receptacles.
• Dust and clean desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
• Polish hard surfaces such as wood and stainless steel.
• Clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food service areas.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment as needed for cleaning, using hand trucks when appropriate.
• Clean interior glass, including windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using suitable cleaning supplies and tools.
• Perform seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow.
• Keep restrooms clean and polished.
• Follow all safety, security, compliance, and quality rules set by the company, clients, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is necessary.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• One year of similar prior work experience is preferred.
