Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced SAP BTP professional for its Kolkata location. The position calls for someone with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and the ability to design, guide, and deliver enterprise solutions for client requirements.

Experience and Background

The ideal candidate should bring 4 to 8 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years of practical SAP BTP development exposure within a total IT career of 5 to 10 years. A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.

Key Responsibilities

You will work with clients to understand their business goals and convert them into effective SAP BTP-based solutions. The role involves technical leadership, solution design, implementation, and oversight of development standards and performance quality.

SAP BTP Expertise

Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services is essential, including process automation, data management, integration, analytics, and application development. You should also be comfortable working with Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and related platform capabilities.

Development and Architecture

The position requires experience with solution design and delivery using SAP CAP, RAP, and ABAP where appropriate. You should also be capable of building and deploying cloud-native applications using technologies such as Node.js, Java, or Python.

DevOps and Integration

You will be expected to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, while applying DevOps practices that support code quality, reliability, and performance in cloud or hybrid environments. Experience with integration approaches like API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, and message-based integration is important.

Leadership and Client Engagement

The role includes mentoring developers, enforcing coding standards, and promoting best practices. In addition, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, maintain strong relationships, support platform run activities, and stay current with SAP BTP trends and industry practices.

Communication

Excellent communication and presentation abilities are necessary, along with the skill to explain complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
