Role overview
Dynatrace is hiring a Sales Development Representative to find, develop, and qualify sales opportunities for its application performance management software business. In this position, you will work closely with field sales and marketing teams to create demand, nurture prospects, and help move qualified leads forward.
Key responsibilities
- Assess prospects and leads against the company’s qualification standards.
- Research assigned accounts and run outbound outreach to uncover new business opportunities.
- Reach out to senior IT decision-makers at Fortune 1000 companies, including CTOs, CIOs, directors of IT operations, directors of infrastructure, and directors of application support, to support lead development and qualification.
- Gather account intelligence using tools such as Google, LinkedIn, Jigsaw, and similar resources.
- Build a clear understanding of each account’s business challenges and other relevant context.
- Support database and telemarketing campaigns aimed at boosting attendance at events and seminars and increasing awareness of product promotions for target audiences.
- Present Dynatrace enterprise solutions to potential customers.
- Log and manage activity data in Salesforce CRM.
- Take part in weekly territory forecast meetings and share updates on progress against assigned activities.
- Work consistently toward defined performance metrics and goals.
- Share feedback with the marketing team on lead quality from marketing initiatives.
Minimum qualifications
- A college diploma or university degree is required.
- Military experience that is equivalent to a college degree may also be accepted.
- Experience or familiarity with IT operations management solutions is an advantage.
- Prior use of a CRM platform, especially Salesforce, is preferred.
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service and relationship building is important.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills are needed.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities are required.
- You should be able to perform well independently as well as in a team setting.
- Success in this role requires self-motivation and comfort working in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
