Safety Officer

Role Overview

G4S is looking for a Safety Officer to oversee day-to-day site safety at a plant location in Odisha. The role focuses on preventing incidents, strengthening compliance, and building a workplace culture where safety standards are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections across the plant site, identify potential hazards, and assess risks to reduce the chance of accidents.
• Make sure site practices align with applicable local and national Occupational Safety and Health requirements in line with PSARA policy.
• Design, roll out, and enforce safety procedures, including authorizing permits for hazardous tasks such as confined space entry and hot work.
• Look into incidents, near misses, and accidents, then document, evaluate, and share findings to help avoid repeat events.
• Plan and conduct safety drills, employee training, and awareness initiatives to strengthen overall safety awareness.
