Role overview
This position is part of the food and beverage culinary team at a luxury hotel in Marina Bay, Singapore. The role focuses on preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to the required standards, and supporting room service kitchen operations while maintaining the presentation and quality expected in a premium hospitality environment.
Key duties
- Get ingredients ready for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing them correctly.
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients accurately.
- Cook food according to recipes, quality benchmarks, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold dishes as needed.
- Use kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Check food to make sure it is cooked properly.
- Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process.
- Set up and dismantle the workstation before and after service.
- Portion and plate food into the correct containers or receptacles.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Verify that food and appliance temperatures are correct.

Qualifications
