Resource Planning Officer

Role summary

The Resource Planning Officer role focuses on building and maintaining medium- and long-range manpower plans so staffing can be assigned efficiently, while keeping all allocations aligned with legal, regulatory, and business expectations.

Key accountabilities

• Develop, update, and sustain detailed manpower plans for the short, medium, and long term, ensuring they match flight schedules and operational demand.
• Run planning simulations and scenario-based analysis to reduce manpower cost and improve the use of available resources.
• Review workforce data, trends, and business factors such as seasonal schedules and financial constraints to shape resourcing decisions.
• Regularly reassess planning assumptions to keep staffing arrangements compliant with both regulatory and internal standards.
• Work with Finance to define and validate manpower budgets in line with financial policy and business targets.
• Monitor and define key performance indicators and prepare management reporting on manpower resourcing and budget performance.
• Prepare and release manpower rosters and ensure internal stakeholders receive timely communication.
• Coordinate with Performance Managers by sharing updates on disciplinary, training, or medical matters so corrective action can be taken promptly.
• Escalate risks, emerging issues, and operational concerns to management so mitigation steps can be implemented quickly and disruptions minimized.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience if they hold a degree, or at least 3 years of relevant experience if they do not hold a degree.
