What you will do

• Investigate healthcare systems, databases, and reference sources to verify provider and service details.
• Collect and record information about doctors, specialists, dental providers, elder care services, nursing homes, and other healthcare resources.
• Review benefit plans and interpret coverage details when they are available.
• Present research results in a clear, organized, and easy-to-use format for nurses, advocates, and support staff.
• Answer internal and member requests with accurate healthcare options and resource suggestions.
• Keep thorough and correct records in internal documentation and tracking systems.
• Prepare and organize research outputs so they can support care navigation and decision-making.
• Monitor cases, follow up with members or providers, and complete requests within expected timeframes.
• Notice recurring research issues or trends and raise them to leadership when appropriate.
• Follow internal quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, including HIPAA and COBRA.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related area is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare-related work or research is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain information professionally and clearly.
• Sharp attention to detail, plus solid analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good organization and multitasking skills, with dependable follow-through.
• Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and online research tools.
• Ability to collaborate well in a team-based environment.
• A customer-focused approach with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Skill in interpreting complex information and turning it into practical, easy-to-understand guidance.
• Bilingual ability, such as English and Spanish, may be an advantage depending on the assignment.
