Project Engineer

Role Overview

Anix Global is seeking a Project Engineer in the UAE to oversee engineering activities tied to geotechnical or dewatering projects. This position is suited to a graduate engineer with at least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience and a practical understanding of site execution, documentation, and coordination across technical and operational teams.

What You Will Do

• Review tender materials such as pumping tests, site investigation reports, and specifications to support the design of dewatering systems.
• After contract award, prepare method statements, risk assessments, work programmes, schedules, and progress reports.
• Support the specification and procurement of equipment needed for the job.
• Supervise site execution directly, including well drilling, pipe installation, pump setup, electrical connections, and commissioning of dewatering systems, while ensuring safe work practices and compliance with specifications.
• Track work against the agreed project timeline and make sure activities stay on schedule.
• Gather, organize, and report project data such as as-built records, water levels, discharge flows, and progress updates.
• Review information carefully, address defects or inconsistencies promptly, and maintain strong data management practices.
• Prepare monthly valuations and handle documentation related to variation claims.
• Work with the design team on design revisions driven by actual ground conditions or client schedule changes.

Skills and Qualifications

• A degree in engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising geotechnical or dewatering work.
• Strong ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Highly organized and systematic approach to work.
• Resilient, resourceful, creative, and results-focused mindset.
• Good computer proficiency, especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Dewatering knowledge is an added advantage.

Asset Protection

• Keep all tools, stock, and materials in proper working condition.
• Follow maintenance schedules and ensure records are maintained accurately.
• Protect company assets as far as site conditions allow and report any damage immediately to the Operations/Plant & Maintenance Manager.

Health, Safety and Environment

• Work closely with the Field H&S Officer to maintain safety standards.
• Implement and continuously follow the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
• Ensure site safety measures are in place, including visible hazard warnings on electrical and mechanical equipment and proper certification for lifting equipment used by crews.

Eligibility

This role is open to graduates in engineering who have relevant experience in supervising geotechnical or dewatering activities in the UAE or similar project environments.
