Production Supervisor (Evening Shift)

Role Overview

A Galway-based electronics manufacturing business is looking for an Evening Shift Production Supervisor through CareerWise Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the evening production operation and serving as the main contact for production, quality, health and safety, and facility-related issues during the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the evening shift operation, coordinating daily work plans and serving as the first point of contact for production, quality, H&S, and facilities matters.
• Oversee staff to ensure manufactured products are produced efficiently and workflows are properly organized and monitored.
• Keep management and support teams updated on priorities, schedule progress, and any operational issues.
• Handle employee and people-related queries in line with company policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain a motivated, high-performing production team.
• Confirm that all team members complete the required training, keep training records accurate, and encourage cross-training across production areas to improve flexibility and coverage.
• Support the growth of direct reports by arranging training, reviewing performance regularly, delivering verbal and written feedback, managing disciplinary matters where needed, and carrying out formal written performance reviews.

Requirements

• Level 7 qualification in a relevant subject area.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in production supervision.
• Proven ability to lead and manage people effectively, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience in handling people management processes, including disciplinary meetings and performance review discussions.
• Knowledge of electronics or cable assembly is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with people at all levels.
