Deskripsi pekerjaan
About the role
Aiven is a global company of 400+ people building open-source and multi-cloud data infrastructure that helps teams launch ideas quickly and with less complexity. In this role, you will lead product direction for the PostgreSQL ecosystem and analytics experience, with a focus on making application development on Postgres dependable, smooth, and highly attractive to developers.
This position suits someone who enjoys tackling complex problems at the overlap of databases, developer tooling, and modern application development. You will guide the product vision and roadmap for Aiven’s PostgreSQL offering, with developer experience as a key differentiator.
Key responsibilities
- Turn sophisticated database capabilities into clear, easy-to-use workflows and APIs for developers.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the PostgreSQL developer experience roadmap, including prioritization and delivery.
- Define guided best-practice paths for areas such as branching, migrations, and schema management so developers can move faster.
- Work with IDEs, frameworks, and AI coding tools to integrate Aiven into the environments developers already use.
- Help make PostgreSQL the most natural choice for modern application development by reducing friction and improving usability.
- Support enterprise deals and customer expansion by aligning developer-experience improvements with commercial goals.
- Partner across engineering, design, sales, and go-to-market teams to convert technical depth into polished user experiences.
- Use metrics such as activation, engagement, retention, and expansion to measure product success.
What we’re looking for
- 3 to 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in databases, developer platforms, or cloud products.
- Ability to simplify technical complexity into intuitive product experiences.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments while bringing structure and prioritization.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or relational database systems.
- Experience defining product capabilities and taking them through launch.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate well with engineers, sales teams, and developer communities.
- Excellent communication and narrative-building skills to align stakeholders and drive adoption.
Global benefits
- Opportunity to participate in the company equity plan.
- Hybrid working arrangement for better work-life balance.
- Choice of equipment needed to do your best work.
- Access to a Professional Development Plan budget for learning and growth.
- Global Employee Assistance Program for wellbeing support.
- Global Time Off Commitment, including parental leave, sick leave, and personal time.
- Country-specific benefits depending on location.
