Role overview

HumanGood is hiring a full-time Personnel Scheduler for its Skilled Nursing Health Center in Valle Verde, Santa Barbara, California. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and the pay range is $26 to $32 per hour. This role is centered on keeping daily staffing and support operations organized so residents receive consistent care.

The Personnel Scheduler will coordinate staffing plans for CNAs and Nurses, help maintain coverage levels, support medical supply inventory tasks, and act as a communication point between departments. The position suits someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable handling multiple priorities, and motivated by behind-the-scenes work that directly supports resident care.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain CNAs and Nurses’ work schedules using the UKG Staffing system.
• Track staffing requirements and quickly cover open shifts to keep the Health Center properly staffed.
• Share schedule updates, staffing adjustments, and any conflicts with managers and care team members.
• Keep staffing records and scheduling data accurate and up to date.
• Assist with medical supply inventory, distribution, and usage monitoring.
• Help foster a team-oriented, resident-focused environment in the Health Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, healthcare administration, or a similar field is preferred.
• CNA certification is required, or the ability and willingness to earn it within the agreed timeframe after joining.
• Experience using UKG Scheduling or another workforce management platform is preferred.
• Working knowledge of staffing methods, scheduling fundamentals, and California wage and hour rules is preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to juggle several priorities in a busy healthcare setting.
• Because the role may occasionally involve direct resident support, CNA credentials are necessary now or must be obtained after hire within the specified timeframe; training and support may be provided to the right candidate.
