Role Overview
An Operations Scheduler is required for the Hume, ACT team. This is an on-site role with no work-from-home option because of the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position focuses on coordinating with customers and staff to keep the Operations Department running smoothly, including clerical support and labour allocation. Day-to-day duties include scheduling removal activities, keeping everyone informed, and supporting service delivery.
- Plan branch removal jobs and make sure all involved parties are kept fully updated
- Brief drivers and crews on removal needs and guide the related work activities
- Make sure all run sheets are completed and shared appropriately
- Manage documentation across the Operations department
- Coordinate with clients and debrief crews to confirm jobs are completed properly
- Maintain strong client satisfaction and resolve issues as they arise during the day
- Prepare Operations and Customer Service reports
- Support depot activities and oversee relevant functions alongside other operations staff

This role suits a highly organised person who is comfortable dealing with a range of staff and customers, and who is motivated to consistently meet or exceed client expectations. The right applicant will work efficiently, think strategically, and be able to adapt schedules when priorities change.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in removals is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be available for on-site starts from 6:30 AM onwards
- Should bring energy, urgency, and enthusiasm to the role
- Needs proven leadership and delegation capability
- Able to work both collaboratively and independently
- Strong customer service ability is essential
- Comfortable in a demanding, fast-moving environment
- Good spoken and written communication skills
