Company Overview
Withstand Group is a Qatar-based food and beverage business established in 2018. It has grown quickly and is now recognized among the region’s prominent brands. The group runs six different concepts, including dine-in restaurants and specialty cafes, each built around quality ingredients and attentive guest service. Its focus is on creating memorable customer experiences, nurturing long-term guest relationships, and adding value to the local market through fresh ideas, consistency, and service excellence.
Role Summary
This Doha-based, on-site position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations across several food and beverage concepts. The role centers on keeping service standards consistent, ensuring smooth workflows, and supporting overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
The Operations Manager will coordinate staffing plans, guide front-of-house and back-of-house teams, oversee inventory levels, and work with suppliers and internal support teams. The position also includes putting operational procedures into practice, reviewing performance indicators, handling guest feedback, and driving ongoing improvements. In partnership with leadership, the manager will help meet financial goals, control costs, and ensure compliance with company rules and Qatar’s regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should bring hands-on experience in operations leadership within food and beverage or hospitality, ideally across multiple outlets or busy service environments. Strong people-management abilities are important, including supervising teams, coaching employees, and managing performance. The role also calls for experience in streamlining processes, planning workflows, and applying standard operating procedures.
Additional strengths needed include inventory management, basic budgeting, cost awareness, KPI tracking, and the ability to use operational insights to improve efficiency and service quality. A strong customer-first mindset is essential, along with the ability to resolve escalations professionally. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for working effectively across teams and with people from varied backgrounds. Candidates should also be highly organized, able to manage time well in a fast-paced setting, and familiar with health, safety, and food hygiene expectations in Qatar, or willing to learn and comply. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a similar field is preferred, though relevant practical experience may be accepted instead. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic is an advantage. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected when operations require it.
