Role Summary

This full-time, on-site Mason position is based in Dar es-Salaam. The role involves core masonry activities such as placing bricks and blocks, preparing and spreading cement and mortar, and building walls, foundations, and related structural components to the required alignment and level. The mason will also work with stone and other construction materials, support renovation and repair tasks, and operate in line with safety rules and site procedures. The position requires coordination with supervisors and other construction staff, care of tools and equipment, and consistent delivery of work on time and to the expected quality.

Key Duties

• Carry out bricklaying and blockwork for construction projects.
• Mix, prepare, and apply cement and mortar correctly.
• Build walls, foundations, and other structural elements according to specifications.
• Handle stonework, including cutting, shaping, and laying stone where needed.
• Support renovation, restoration, and repair activities on existing structures.
• Follow all site safety requirements and construction procedures.
• Work closely with site supervisors and other construction professionals.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Help complete tasks within schedule and quality expectations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hands-on masonry ability, especially in brick and block laying.
