About the Role

AOP Marine and Logistics, a UAE-based port agency company, is hiring a logistics leader to head its logistics division. The role is centered on building efficient, dependable, and cost-conscious logistics services for current and future clients across regional and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and fine-tune transport and delivery routes, choose suitable carriers, and negotiate competitive freight pricing across road, rail, sea, and air to keep operations efficient and economical.
• Assist management in shaping future logistics capabilities, including warehousing, trucking, transport, and end-to-end supply chain offerings.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to uncover and win new business.
• Help move existing clients and business opportunities to AOP Marine and Logistics whenever suitable.
• Lead business development efforts, grow the customer portfolio, and nurture long-term partnerships with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Advise management on expansion plans for the logistics division, including opportunities in warehousing, transportation, trucking, and integrated logistics services.
• Review market movements, spot growth possibilities, and support the creation and execution of long-range logistics and supply chain strategies.
• Contribute to the division’s targets for revenue growth, profitability, operational performance, and business expansion.
• Make sure all logistics activity follows relevant transport laws, customs rules, health and safety standards, and internal company policies.
• Track performance using KPIs, identify improvement areas, and introduce actions that raise service quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
