About the role
Brandworkz is hiring a Junior Frontend Developer to join its fully remote engineering team. The work centers on a modern digital asset management SaaS product used by thousands of people to store, organize, and share digital content.
This position is well suited to someone at the beginning of their frontend career who already feels comfortable working with React, understands how RESTful APIs work, and wants to develop further in a collaborative, product-driven environment. Recent graduates with strong academic projects or portfolio pieces are encouraged to apply.
What you will do
- Create and support responsive, accessible interface components using React and Material UI (MUI).
- Connect frontend features to RESTful APIs so users can retrieve, view, and manage digital assets across the platform.
- Work side by side with backend developers and product managers to deliver well-finished features.
- Take part in code reviews and help uphold code quality while sharing knowledge with teammates.
- Contribute to frontend architecture decisions as your role expands.
- Produce clean, clearly documented code that follows established engineering practices.
- Find and fix UI defects, performance bottlenecks, and browser compatibility issues.
Required skills and experience
- Practical experience building applications with React, including hooks, state handling, and component lifecycles.
- Strong ability to use Material UI (MUI) to create consistent and scalable interfaces.
- Good knowledge of RESTful API concepts, including endpoint consumption, asynchronous data handling, and graceful error management.
- Comfort with modern JavaScript (ES6+) plus core web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
- Working knowledge of Git for version control.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on UI polish and UX consistency.
Nice to have
- Exposure to digital asset management products or SaaS applications.
- Understanding of authentication approaches such as OAuth and JWT.
- Familiarity with state management tools like Redux or Zustand.
- Awareness of accessibility standards, including WCAG.
- Experience with unit or integration testing tools such as Jest or React Testing Library.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, as productivity aids while still understanding and owning the code produced.
Experience and education
The company is open to applicants at different stages of their career, including recent graduates. Suitable candidates include those with 1–2 years of frontend development experience, or candidates who can demonstrate strong React and API integration skills through class projects or portfolio work.
The focus is on code quality and the ability to learn quickly rather than years of experience on a résumé.
