Role Overview

As a Janitor, you will help keep the manufacturing site clean, orderly, and safe. You will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across the facility and surrounding grounds.

Key Duties

• Use cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies in line with company safety rules and handling procedures.
• Carry out routine cleaning of restrooms, loading and receiving docks, stock areas, shipping zones, the assembly floor, and the machine shop.
• Remove garbage and debris from the property, including plant landscaping areas and parking lots.
• Handle seasonal outdoor upkeep, such as clearing snow from walkways and driveways when required.
• Complete weekly plant-wide preventive cleaning tasks, including checking and testing emergency exit lights and cleaning fire alarm, strobe light, siren, and safety lighting fixtures.
• Carry out monthly cleaning and preventive maintenance work, including inspecting fire extinguishers, cleaning the compressor room, and cleaning dock doors.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 to 3 years of related experience is needed.
• Prior work in a manufacturing, commercial, or industrial environment is preferred.
• The role requires the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay is $17.50 per hour.
