Initial Medical Service Driver

Role overview

This is a permanent full-time driving role based in Connacht, with a 39-hour working week. The position pays €29,800 per year, with salary paid monthly. In this role, you will support customers by collecting and disposing of hazardous waste in a safe and professional manner.

What you will do

• Visit multiple customer locations to service hazardous waste systems, including sharp bins, poisons, dental waste, and other controlled waste streams.
• Handle collection and disposal duties while maintaining a strong focus on safe working practices.
• Keep the vehicle in safe working condition and follow road-safety guidance at all times.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and represent the company in a professional way.

Driver requirements

• You must hold a full Irish driving licence for more than two years and have no more than six penalty points.
• This is a hands-on role, so you should be comfortable with regular loading and unloading of units and bins.
• An ADR certificate would be an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
• Strong communication and customer service ability are important.
• You need flexibility to work patterns that suit business requirements.
• You should be able to work independently and bring a positive, proactive attitude.
• A DBS check may be required depending on the position.
