Role overview
Equinor Canada is hiring a highly organized Industrial Benefits Analyst to help manage regulatory compliance and reporting for Canadian offshore projects. The role focuses on making sure the company meets its obligations under the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator (CNLOER) Benefits Plan Guidelines, the Benefits Agreement with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, and related legislative requirements.
The person in this position will gather, review, and present benefits data, coordinate with internal teams and outside partners, and help keep Equinor aligned with commitments around local value creation, responsible purchasing, stakeholder engagement, and diversity and inclusion.

Key responsibilities
- Build, coordinate, and consolidate benefits reports in line with CNLOER Benefits Plan Guidelines, the Bay du Nord Project Benefits Agreement with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, and relevant Accord Acts requirements.
- Track project progress against benefits commitments and prepare compliance documents for both internal and external use.
- Manage tracking tools such as supplier engagement logs, benefits content assessments, dashboards, procurement systems, and commitment follow-up records.
- Check that data is accurate, complete, and consistent across business areas, while helping improve reporting workflows and digital tools.
- Assist with audits, reviews, and regulatory assessments connected to benefits compliance.
- Work with suppliers to promote open reporting, continuous improvement, and new approaches that increase local value creation.
- Partner with procurement, contract owners, and suppliers so industrial benefits expectations are clearly communicated and built into contract plans and execution.
- Support internal teams and contractors in ensuring benefits and diversity & inclusion commitments are reflected in procurement and contract delivery.
- Help implement the project Diversity & Inclusion Plan alongside key stakeholders.
- Look for opportunities to improve local participation and supplier capability.
- Contribute to efforts that build local industry competitiveness and support Equinor’s sustainability and community investment goals.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure contract deliverables include benefits and local content requirements.
- Provide general procurement support tied to systems administration.
- Assist with the CNLOER Special Oversight Process, including data gathering, reporting, and coordination with internal subject matter experts.

- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, reporting, supply chain, project management, or industrial benefits work, ideally within energy, major projects, or regulated environments.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, reporting platforms, or benefits tracking is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Atlantic Canada offshore regulatory environment is a strong plus.
- Background in training others and communicating expectations to different stakeholder groups.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports for internal and external audiences.
- Strong analytical ability, data handling skills, organization, and attention to detail, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and contract requirements is helpful.
- Sound business judgement and high ethical standards aligned with Equinor’s values.

Under the Accord Acts principles, priority will be given to qualified residents of Newfoundland and Labrador.
