SHR is hiring a careful and driven Human Resources Generalist to help manage HR operations across the employee life cycle. This position partners closely with the Operations Manager, hiring managers, and staff to support recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, HR administration, and compliance work. Experience with ADP TotalSource or another PEO/HRIS platform is preferred, and training can be provided for the right applicant. Benefits administration experience would be an added advantage. - Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits matters such as enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and general questions.
- Assist with personnel security tasks, including access requests for onboarding/offboarding, security acknowledgments, and related documentation.
- Support security awareness and employee training by coordinating assigned learning, tracking completion, and helping with compliance efforts.
- Look for ways to streamline HR workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to employee engagement efforts and other HR or operations projects as needed.
- Take on additional duties as business priorities change.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources or HR operations.
- Exposure to a PEO environment, ideally ADP TotalSource, or the ability to learn new HRIS tools quickly.
- Prior benefits administration experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and standard HR practices.
- Experience supporting compliance-focused or regulated environments is a plus.
- Professional HR credentials such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are a plus.
- Preferred background supporting HR functions in government consulting organizations.
- Strong organization and time management skills with close attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a talent for building effective working relationships.
- Adaptable and willing to support evolving business needs.
- Self-directed, resourceful, and open to learning new systems and processes.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

- A full benefits package with health, dental, and retirement plans, including company match.
