Role Overview
The Human Resources Assistant will contribute to everyday HR activities, including maintaining employee files, supporting joining and exit formalities, and keeping HR documentation and HRIS records up to date. This full-time, on-site position in Guwahati will also assist with benefits coordination, attendance and leave tracking, and the collection of payroll-related information in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements. The role includes helping organize training initiatives, arranging interviews, and responding to HR-related questions from candidates and employees. The assistant will work closely with the HR team and other departments to help ensure a smooth, compliant, and well-documented employee journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records and keep HR files organized and current.
- Support onboarding and separation processes, including required documentation.
- Update HRIS entries and manage employee information in digital systems.
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to basic benefits queries.
- Track attendance and leave data and help prepare HR information for payroll support.
- Coordinate training schedules, maintain training records, and assist with learning activities.
- Arrange interview schedules and communicate with candidates and employees on HR matters.
- Help ensure HR processes remain compliant with company policies and statutory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HR functions, HR policies, and core people operations.
- Experience or familiarity with HRIS platforms for employee data and document management.
- Understanding of benefits administration processes and employee support.
- Ability to assist with training coordination and learning administration.
- Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction.
- Proficiency with MS Office and comfort using HR or business software; ERP exposure is a plus.
- Educational background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Prior internship or experience in an HR support role is preferred.
