About the Role
ServiceMaster Brands is looking for a proactive, detail-driven HR Coordinator to support its growing Human Resources function. This entry-level opportunity is well suited to someone who wants practical exposure to multiple HR areas and is eager to build a long-term career in a fast-moving organization. The position primarily supports the HR Business Partner team, with additional help provided to Compensation & Benefits and People Analytics/HRIS teams when needed.
The role calls for someone who is service-minded, well organized, and comfortable handling a wide range of HR tasks while contributing to the company’s mission of being there when people need support.
What You’ll Handle
- Act as the first contact for the HR inbox by responding to basic employee questions and requests, and routing more complex matters to the right team in a timely, professional way.
- Provide answers to routine HR questions and carry out simple audits and administrative support tasks.
- Support onboarding activities for new hires, including scheduling, preparing materials, and helping create a smooth employee experience.
- Assist with offboarding tasks such as exit surveys, document preparation, and coordination.
- Help with administration for HR programs, projects, annual activities, policy acknowledgments, training tracking, audits, reporting, and related process coordination.
- Perform data entry, manage documents, maintain records, and keep HR files organized and compliant with company standards.
- Compile, update, share, and distribute employee milestone reports such as birthdays, work anniversaries, and recognition updates.
- Support employee engagement efforts, wellness activities, company events, and appreciation initiatives.
What the Employer Is Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Prior internship or administrative experience is an advantage, but it is not mandatory.
- Strong planning and organization abilities, along with a careful eye for detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- A customer-service attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position. The schedule requires working in the office 2 to 3 days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely.
Compensation
The estimated starting pay for this role is $24 per hour. Pay is determined based on skills, experience, and business needs, and the posted range does not include location-based adjustments. Most new hires begin below the top end of the range.
