Tables drive critical work in areas like healthcare trials, finance, scientific research, and everyday business decisions, yet no widely adopted foundation model has truly mastered them.

The team is building that capability now. It is working on the next major shift in AI by creating models for tables and structured data, with the goal of making them practical in real-world products and workflows.

The organization has established itself as a leader in structured data machine learning through its tabular foundation model work. Its TabPFN v2 model was published in Nature and reached state-of-the-art performance for tabular machine learning. Since launch, the model has grown to more than 20 times its earlier scale, exceeded 3 million downloads, earned over 6,000 GitHub stars, and gained strong adoption in both research and industry, including use cases in lung disease detection, train failure prevention, and clinical trial decision support.

The work ahead is substantial: scaling tabular foundation models to millions of rows, thousands of features, real-time inference, and additional data types, while also building production infrastructure for some of the most demanding industries.

The team is small and selective, with more than 20 engineers, researchers, and go-to-market specialists chosen from a very large applicant pool. The group includes people with experience at major technology and finance organizations, and is guided by well-known AI leaders and advisors. The team is known for moving quickly, producing high-quality research, and maintaining very high standards.

The company recently raised €9 million in pre-seed funding in 2025, led by Balderton Capital and supported by leaders from Hugging Face, DeepMind, and Black Forest Labs. It is now in a strong growth phase.

About the Role

This position is for an exceptional full stack engineer who will help build the ML platform behind the company’s tabular foundation model products. The role sits at the intersection of data science, intelligent agents, user experience, and meaningful real-world business impact.

You will contribute across the entire product surface, including frontend, backend, and the layers connecting them.

What You Will Do

• Create the core platform that allows users to work with tabular foundation models, from uploading and exploring data through inference and results delivery.
• Design dependable backend systems with low latency so real-time model inference can run at scale.
• Collaborate closely with the research team to convert new model capabilities into usable production features.
• Lead the frontend experience for technical users such as data scientists and ML engineers, who expect a smooth interface and have little patience for friction.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience building user-facing, highly available products with meaningful ownership of what was delivered.
• Prior work on data-heavy applications such as dashboards, analytics tools, or data exploration interfaces.
• Strong command of both JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Solid product judgment and the ability to focus on what users genuinely need rather than only on ticket requirements.
• Comfort working near ML systems, including understanding inputs, outputs, and likely failure cases well enough to build dependable user interfaces around them.
• Excitement for a fast-changing environment where ideas move quickly and user impact is central.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Background in developer tools, data platforms, or products adjacent to machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with React, FastAPI, and Postgres, which are part of the current stack.
