Frontend Developer - AI Trainer

Role overview

We are seeking a Frontend Developer - AI Trainer to support the advancement of AI systems. You will join DataAnnotation’s coding community, which includes more than 100,000 professionals across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related engineering disciplines.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You will collaborate with advanced AI models on programming tasks such as creating and solving complex coding problems, building polished applications with rich features, and turning data analysis into clear visual insights. Your contributions will help improve intelligent systems as they learn and evolve.

This role suits people who want to fit the work around another job as well as those who want to make it their main focus, choosing projects and schedules based on their own availability.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the selection step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email, and paid tasks will then be made available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve a variety of coding challenges used to train AI systems, with a focus on Android development.
• Produce clean code examples along with clear, well-explained solutions.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models.

Qualifications

• Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level.
• Preferred hands-on experience with Kotlin.
• Working proficiency in at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Solid writing ability with good grammar.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress.
• Prior background as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is an advantage.

Contract and payment details

This is an independent contractor role. Compensation is paid through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. The company will never ask you to pay any money.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open only to candidates based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants outside these countries will not be able to access work or assessments on the platform at this time.

Working style

You can select the projects you want to work on and decide when to work. Tasks can be completed on your own computer and from your home.

Pay

Hourly project rates start at $50 to $100+ per hour, with higher rates available for some assignments.
