Finance Manager

Role Overview

A well-established international design studio with a significant footprint in the Middle East is hiring a senior Finance & Operations Manager for its Dubai office. This is a practical, hands-on leadership role covering financial control, operational effectiveness, and business reporting for the regional business.

The role reports to the Finance Director based in London and involves close collaboration with senior leadership to support day-to-day performance and long-term planning.

Core Responsibilities

Finance and Reporting

• Own the preparation of monthly management accounts and other financial reporting materials.
• Compile clear and accurate forecasts, performance summaries, and management statistics for leadership review.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow oversight, and wider financial planning activities.
• Maintain compliance with both internal policies and external financial standards.
• Work closely with the London Finance Director to align reporting, controls, and governance.

Payroll and Team Leadership

• Manage payroll operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Lead, support, and develop a team of four finance and operations staff members.
• Introduce effective systems, processes, and working methods across the team.

Operations

• Oversee the daily operational activity of the Dubai office.
• Help improve efficiency across design, project delivery, and administrative functions.
• Manage supplier partnerships, contractual matters, and operational expenditure.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to wider business optimisation efforts.

Commercial Support and Strategy

• Offer commercial analysis and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support decision-making with financial and operational insight.
• Assist with regional projects and group-wide initiatives when needed.

Candidate Profile

The employer is looking for someone with solid experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Finance & Operations Manager position. A strong foundation in management accounting and reporting is essential, along with proven payroll oversight and people management experience.

Experience gained in a design, architecture, construction, or broader professional services setting is preferred. The ideal person will be highly organised, analytical, and confident in communication, with the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders. Prior Middle East experience is helpful, though not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is AED 27,000 to AED 30,000 per month, while the package section also states AED 30,000 to AED 32,000 per month depending on experience.
