Design/Project Draughtsman

Role Overview

INNIVATE PTE LTD is seeking a Design/Project Draughtsman to support the design function for construction and façade-related projects in Singapore. The role reports to the Design Manager and focuses on preparing drawings, supporting quotations, coordinating project submissions, and assisting with technical documentation for approval.

Key Duties

• Prepare construction drawings, with a strong preference for experience in aluminium profiles and curtain wall design.
• Support quotation preparation and project coordination activities.
• Compile and submit all required material and technical data for specifier approvals.
• Interpret construction drawings and develop standard installation details for façade specialist products.
• Work with internal and external project stakeholders, including main contractors, ACMV contractors, and sub-installers.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in construction drawing preparation.
• Experience in aluminium profiles or curtain wall design is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with contractors and installers.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and AutoCAD is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings accurately.
• Capability to produce typical installation details for façade specialist products.
• 3D rendering skills and familiarity with BIM modelling will be an advantage.
• Experience in designing aluminium extrusions is beneficial.
• Must be able to work independently after training with minimal supervision.
• Self-driven, results-focused, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Additional Information

The suitable candidate will report directly to the Design Manager. The role requires a proactive working style, strong coordination ability, and the discipline to deliver within project timelines.
