It is positioned as a strong starting point for someone with a solid statistics foundation who wants to apply their skills in a fast-moving, client-facing environment.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and support data science models, including Marketing Mix Models, using regression-based methods and weekly or monthly time-series inputs tied to media, pricing, and promotional data.
- Review client datasets through validation, cleaning, and quality checks so the inputs are ready for modeling.
- Perform statistical work such as adstock adjustments, diminishing returns analysis, and decomposition reporting.
- Help prepare documentation and create polished outputs like Excel workbooks, charts, and summary tables for both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Work closely with senior colleagues on methodology choices and ongoing improvements to model performance.
- Support internal tools and contribute to process enhancements as the team expands.
What the company is looking for
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline.
- A strong understanding of statistical modeling, especially regression and time-series analysis.
- Practical comfort using Python or R for manipulation, modeling, and visualization, with tools such as pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn, or similar packages.
- Working knowledge of topics like multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, model diagnostics, and variable selection.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to handle large, messy datasets accurately.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting analytical findings clearly.
- Exposure to Bayesian approaches or hierarchical modeling.
- Experience working with marketing data such as media spend, impressions, or GRPs, or with consumer datasets.
- Previous internship or academic project experience in an applied analytics environment.
