Role overview
Spait Infotech is hiring a Data Analyst to work from Canada in a full-time, on-site role. The position focuses on turning raw data into clear business insights, improving reporting workflows, and supporting decision-making across teams.
Key responsibilities
- Collect data from different sources, then clean, verify, and analyze it at scale.
- Build, update, and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using business intelligence tools.
- Use statistical methods to uncover trends, relationships, and growth opportunities.
- Convert business needs into practical, data-backed recommendations and solutions.
- Design and automate recurring reports to save time and reduce manual effort.
- Run quality checks to maintain accurate, reliable, and consistent data.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand KPIs and reporting expectations.
- Support forecasting, performance monitoring, and planning activities.
- Communicate insights and findings in a clear way to stakeholders.
- Contribute to data model development and ongoing reporting improvements.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar discipline is required.
- Prior experience of 1 to 5 years in data analysis or a comparable role is expected.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis are essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and analytical functions, is needed.
- Hands-on experience with visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools is important.
- A solid understanding of statistical principles and analytical methods is necessary.
- Exposure to Python or R for analysis is an added advantage.
- Applicants should have strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
