Customer Service Assistant - Killarney

Role overview

BOYLE Sports is hiring a Customer Service Assistant for its Killarney retail shop. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this position is centered on delivering a high-quality customer experience while helping the store run smoothly day to day.

The role involves supporting the Shop Manager and wider team, maintaining strong shop standards, handling bets and payments correctly, and contributing to the opening and closing of the business. At times, you may also take responsibility for shop operations and team guidance when senior colleagues are unavailable.

What you will do

• Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with everyday shop operations.
• Take responsibility for running the shop when the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager are absent.
• Open and close the shop as required.
• Coordinate and support the shop team during shifts.
• Follow cash-handling processes carefully.
• Provide customers with a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful service at all times.
• Process customer bets accurately and efficiently using betting terminals, EPOS, and in-shop transactions.
• Represent the brand positively and guide customers toward multi-channel and digital products and services.
• Maintain high standards of shop presentation throughout the working day.
• Work calmly under pressure while looking for ways to improve performance and service.
• Follow all procedures relating to safety, compliance, and shop operations.
• Support and promote responsible gambling and social responsibility duties.
• Introduce customers to the shop’s in-store and online products and offerings.
• Take on occasional management responsibilities that can support future career growth.
• Keep developing skills through training and on-the-job learning in a fast-paced retail setting.
