Role overview

This position involves a scheduled interview. The courier will be responsible for collecting and delivering parcels along an assigned route, making sure every shipment meets FedEx Canada service standards, and handling customer-facing support as needed.

Key responsibilities

You will be expected to carry out timely and professional package pick-up and delivery, verify shipment compliance with company service requirements, and provide related customer service support.

Required qualifications

Candidates should have a high school diploma or an equivalent level of education. A valid driver’s license and a strong driving record are required. The role also requires the ability to lift up to 70 lb and, with suitable equipment, move parcels as heavy as 150 lb.

A minimum of one year of customer service or customer-focused business experience is preferred. Applicants must also pass the mandatory pre-placement driver assessment before being hired.

Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is considered an advantage. Strong interpersonal abilities, clear communication, solid time management, good organization, excellent customer service, and the ability to juggle several tasks in a high-pressure setting are all important for this role.

The job requires flexibility to work changing schedules and holidays when business needs call for it. Candidates should also be prepared to complete any required testing and training, maintain recurring training where applicable, and work in a PC Windows environment.

Additional details

This is a full-time position. The pay rate is 25 CAD per hour. The role is described as home-based in Sept-Îles, and the listed location is Baie-Comeau, Quebec, Canada.

If the selected employee lives in Quebec, bilingual ability in French and English is required.

For roles where driving is a core responsibility, candidates must hold a valid driver’s license such as Class 5, G, or 1[AZ], and must have no more than two violations and/or accidents in the 24 months before the application date.
