As the company grows, it is hiring a Content Marketing Writer to shape how Revel communicates the value of its software to the engineers building the future of hard tech.
Role Overview
This position is a hands-on content role for someone who can act as Revel’s brand voice. The writer will turn highly technical ideas into clear, engaging stories that help establish the company as a leading platform for critical hardware operations.
The role covers content creation across multiple channels, including case studies, blogs, and social media. It also includes developing detailed customer stories and writing about the connection between Revel’s software and advanced hardware environments, including rocket engine test facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers to understand complex technical updates and reshape them into content that works for both technical readers and senior decision-makers.
- Work with customers and test engineers to create persuasive case studies and testimonials that show how Revel delivers impact in the real world.
- Maintain a consistent content pipeline that includes customer stories, product launches, company updates, and thought leadership pieces.
- Repurpose core ideas and long-form material into marketing assets such as social media posts, blog articles, and conference session ideas.
- Coordinate with marketing leadership, designers, product teams, and engineers to ensure messaging is accurate, visually strong, and aligned with launches.
Required Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, journalism, or public relations; strong junior applicants with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
- Ability to write confidently about highly technical or hard-tech subjects such as aerospace, defense, engineering, or industrial software.
- Good understanding of how content supports the wider marketing funnel and brand positioning.
- Ability to learn a complex technical space quickly and produce credible, well-informed content.
Preferred Background
- Experience in a fast-growing startup or in the aerospace/defense sector.
- Experience running corporate social media channels and growing an audience.
- Exposure to public relations, executive communications, or engineering.
Team and Exposure
The role reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with design, product leadership, and test engineers. It offers unusual access to hardware testing environments, including time spent virtually and occasionally on-site at places such as rocket engine test stands. The writer will have substantial ownership over how Revel’s brand is perceived.
ITAR Requirements
Because of U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be one of the following: a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), a refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or an asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158. Candidates may also qualify if they can obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
