Role Overview
This position is for a full-time, non-management pastry kitchen role based in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, at the Dibba Road location. The role focuses on supporting daily food preparation and maintaining the quality, cleanliness, and pace expected in a professional hospitality kitchen.
Key Duties
- Prep ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing items correctly.
- Clean, peel, and handle fresh fruits and vegetables for kitchen use.
- Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients accurately.
- Cook dishes according to recipes, presentation requirements, quality benchmarks, and kitchen checklists.
- Prepare chilled food items as required.
- Use ovens, stovetops, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and effectively.
- Check food during preparation to confirm it is cooked properly.
- Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process.
- Set up and close down the workstation at the start and end of shifts.
- Plate food in the correct portions and use the proper serving containers.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen spaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Verify appliance and food temperatures to ensure they remain within required standards.

- Observe all company, safety, and security rules and procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal presentation.
- Protect confidential company information and assets.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
- Build positive working relationships and contribute to shared goals.
- Listen carefully and respond appropriately to coworkers’ concerns.
- Follow quality standards consistently in all work.
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, including an entire shift if needed.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, reaching overhead and below the knees, and moving items up to 25 pounds without help.
- Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
The preferred education level is a high school diploma or GED equivalent. At least 1 year of relevant work experience is expected. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
