Company overview
The employer is an established and highly regarded business serving both residential and commercial customers. With a footprint spanning several locations along Australia’s east coast, around 80 staff, and annual revenue approaching $20 million, it has built a strong position in its market over many years.
Although the organisation operates retail and online channels, the biggest expansion potential is in its service arm. The core platform is already in place, the market opportunity is substantial, and the Board is seeking a CEO to lead the business through its next growth phase.
Role summary
This is a practical, delivery-focused leadership role suited to someone who understands service-led businesses, has managed field-based teams, and can translate strategy into measurable results.
Reporting to the Board and leading a high-performing management team, you will take responsibility for the company’s overall performance while advancing a clear growth plan.
Key priorities
- Improve operating performance, productivity, and profitability across the business.
- Expand the service division in both residential and commercial segments.
- Support growth through both organic initiatives and acquisitions, including the integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Shape a workplace culture built on accountability, safety, and strong customer service.
- Partner closely with the Board and shareholders on strategic direction.
- Deliver ambitious growth objectives over a five-year horizon.
Candidate profile
The ideal leader will be commercially strong, experienced in running a service-oriented business, and comfortable overseeing field teams spread across multiple locations.
Backgrounds from sectors such as building services, property maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or similar service industries would be well suited.
Equally important is the ability to engage effectively with people at every level of the organisation, from frontline technicians to the Board.
