About the Opportunity
This role is for a Chartered Accountant to support VCFO services for a consultancy with long-standing experience across legal, taxation, risk, insolvency, and related advisory areas. The position focuses on finance leadership, compliance, reporting, audit coordination, and analytical support for management decisions.
What You Will Do
- Act as a virtual CFO support resource by contributing to financial planning, governance, reporting, and decision-making support.
- Prepare monthly MIS packs that include profit and loss, balance sheet movement, cash flow, budget-versus-actual analysis, and KPI reporting for leadership review.
- Manage and coordinate statutory audit work, including schedules, reconciliations, audit workings, and resolution of auditor queries.
- Support internal audit activities by evaluating controls, monitoring audit observations, and helping implement corrective actions.
- Take part in valuation assignments, financial analysis, and due diligence support for business, funding, and strategic requirements.
- Handle recurring statutory and tax compliance work, including GST, TDS, ROC-related support, payroll compliance inputs, and compliance tracking.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, documentation, and reconciliations for reporting, audit, and regulatory needs.
- Coordinate closely with clients, auditors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely closure of finance, audit, and compliance tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation/compliance, and audit processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and MIS preparation.
- Working understanding of valuation concepts and financial analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Exposure to Zoho Books or other cloud accounting platforms is a plus.
Additional Information

Preferred Tools and Exposure
Microsoft Excel is a core requirement for this role. Experience with Zoho Books or similar cloud-based accounting software will be considered an advantage for invoicing, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance workflows.
