Catering Assistant

Role overview

Supermac's is hiring full-time Catering Assistants for its Ballacolla, County Laois location. The role is focused on helping the management team deliver a consistently high standard of food, service, and cleanliness for every customer visit.

Shifts are available across the full week, Monday through Sunday, and are not limited to weekends. Because some shifts finish at 11:00 PM, applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Purpose of the role

This position is responsible for supporting smooth day-to-day restaurant operations and ensuring customers receive accurate orders, served quickly and in a friendly way. The role also requires following the training provided and working in line with the employee handbook and company standards.

Key duties

• Maintain a work area that meets company expectations for safety, quality, and consistency.
• Work cooperatively with teammates and treat all colleagues and managers with respect.
• Follow internal training and procedures for food preparation, production, and storage.
• Present a professional image both inside and outside the restaurant.
• Deliver warm, welcoming customer service on every shift.
• Support the management team in helping grow customer numbers and daily sales.
• Handle cash according to the procedures set by management.
• Keep uniform and personal grooming in line with company rules.
• Be flexible to work across all restaurant areas as required by the manager.
• Keep the customer experience at the centre of every task, from opening through to closing hours.

Work environment

The restaurant operates in a busy, fast-moving setting that can be physically demanding depending on business levels. Strong teamwork and clear communication are important to keep all areas running efficiently.
