Business Intelligence Consultant (Excel)

Overview

This is a remote contract opportunity for a Business Intelligence Consultant focused on using advanced Excel capabilities to organize, analyze, and present data that supports AI model training. The role is designed for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and turn business needs into practical data solutions.

Compensation and Schedule

The pay range for this assignment is $40 to $50 per hour. The expected commitment is between 10 and 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Use advanced Excel techniques to structure, review, and present data for AI training workflows.
• Work closely with the client team to deliver business intelligence outputs that are useful and actionable.
• Clean, prepare, and verify large datasets so the data remains reliable for AI use.
• Build and maintain BI processes with clear documentation and strong written and verbal communication.
• Convert business questions into data-driven insights that can improve model performance.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visual summaries in Excel to support AI training efforts.

Required Background

• Hands-on experience in business intelligence or analytics with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Expert-level knowledge of advanced Excel tools such as Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, and data modeling.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, to explain technical findings to different audiences.
• Ability to manage work independently in a remote setup while meeting deadlines and deliverables.
• Good understanding of business operations and the ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience preparing, cleaning, and validating large datasets for analytics or AI-related work.
