BIM Coordinator

Role overview

As the Lead BIM Coordinator, you will take ownership of Building Information Modelling activity across multiple projects. The role is central to making sure BIM processes are applied consistently, project information is accurately represented, and multidisciplinary teams are aligned throughout design and delivery.

What you will do

You will coordinate BIM work across several projects and work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to keep model data accurate and reliable. A key part of the role is identifying clashes, inconsistencies, and design conflicts within coordinated BIM models and helping resolve them early.

You will also shape BIM execution plans, standards, and working protocols, while maintaining and improving BIM models through data integration, clash detection, and coordination of design and construction details. In addition, you will support project timelines, review models regularly for issues, and partner with technology teams to improve BIM software, tools, and workflows.

The role includes training and supporting internal teams and stakeholders on BIM systems and processes, keeping current with industry developments, and working with clients and external partners to ensure BIM outputs meet project expectations. You will also create engineering family libraries using embedded parameters to support efficient design, costing, and scheduling.

Required skills and experience

You should be proficient in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and established best practices is important, along with good problem-solving ability and close attention to detail.

Effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, project coordination ability, and the capacity to manage several tasks at once are all essential. Familiarity with construction and design workflows will help you succeed in this position. Prior exposure to busbar systems is helpful, although it is not mandatory because product and BIM library training will be provided.

Work environment and travel

This position has no special physical or environmental requirements. Travel is not expected for this role.
