Role Overview
The Audit Manager will lead the planning, delivery, and supervision of financial audits for SME clients, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and effective internal controls. The position includes examining financial statements, evaluating accounting records, spotting weaknesses in controls or processes, and producing concise audit findings and recommendations. You will partner with clients to understand how their businesses operate, provide guidance on risk and regulatory matters, and support junior staff in applying audit methods and best practices. In addition, the role contributes to improving internal audit procedures and helping expand advisory offerings. This is a full-time remote position.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
- Hands-on experience with financial statements and conducting financial audits in a professional environment.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to assess information, identify patterns, and recommend workable solutions.
- Working knowledge of audit platforms, accounting systems, and spreadsheet tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; professional credentials such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are considered a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-technical audiences.
- Well-developed planning and time-management skills, with the ability to manage several client assignments in a remote setting.
- Prior exposure to SMEs or consulting/advisory work is an added advantage.
