About the Role
This position is for an Assistant Manager in Solar Operations and Maintenance, based in Kekatpur, Maharashtra. The role requires 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and a qualification in Electrical Engineering at the diploma or B.E./B.Tech level.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee site administration in line with corporate policies and coordinate with local bodies such as the electricity board and other administrative authorities.
- Track and analyze plant performance indicators, including generation, losses, auxiliary power consumption, equipment availability, and performance ratio, to improve overall plant efficiency.
- Coordinate with customers for joint meter reading processes and receivable follow-ups.
- Review and validate project handover and takeover activities to ensure they are completed according to scope, procedures, and protocols.
- Handle plant-related financial matters, including imprest replenishment and contract payment coordination with head office.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all plant equipment.
- Maintain a running list of plant issues and coordinate resolution with engineering, contracts, accounts, environment, and other concerned teams.
- Build and maintain working relationships with local communities, contractors, and suppliers.
- Plan and manage spare parts, manpower, and budgets for smooth plant operations.
- Allocate resources effectively and ensure they are used to their fullest potential.
- Manage contracts by monitoring service-level agreement compliance and contractual obligations.
- Administer the contract and payment workflow for all service agreements.
- Conduct energy audits and work on reducing power losses through review and corrective action.
- Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards and support ISO and EHS implementation requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and apply industry best practices across plant operations.
