Role Overview

This position is responsible for providing on-site after-sales support for machine tools and related industrial equipment at customer facilities in Chennai and other locations as required. The role involves installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, training, and customer coordination to ensure reliable machine performance and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site installation, commissioning, calibration, NC programming, trial runs, and final acceptance of company equipment at customer factories.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, and perform maintenance, inspections, and repair work to keep machines operating smoothly.
• Train customer operators and maintenance staff on machine operation, routine upkeep, fault response, and spare parts handling.
• Collect field feedback on equipment performance and share technical issues and customer requirements with the China headquarters in a timely manner.
• Work with overseas sales and technical teams to complete after-sales closure, manage follow-ups, and organize after-sales documentation.
• Handle local after-sales inquiries, complaint resolution, and warranty-related support while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Document technical learnings, maintain knowledge-sharing records, and submit regular reports to headquarters.
• Suggest opportunities for equipment improvement and optimization to support future machine development.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Automation, or a related technical discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in after-sales service, installation, and maintenance for CNC machine tools, laser equipment, or industrial machinery is expected.
• Hands-on understanding of mechanical structures, basic electrical circuits, equipment operating principles, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems is necessary.
• Ability to analyze and repair common machine faults independently, including familiarity with TPM-related concepts.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English and the local language are needed for customer interactions.
• Willingness to travel frequently across different cities in India and overseas when required, and adaptability to factory-site conditions.
• A responsible, hardworking, efficient, and team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability and a long-term career outlook is essential.
• Candidates must have a clean work record and be able to work stably over the long term.
• Relevant professional qualification certification for the role is required.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to candidates with a B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Automation, or a related technical field, and with the required field service and machine-tool after-sales experience.

Additional Notes

The role is based in Chennai, India, and may involve frequent intercity travel within India as well as international travel if the project requires it. Work will be carried out in customer factory environments.
