Role overview

This position focuses on keeping the company’s accounting records accurate and supporting the day-to-day running of the finance team. It is a practical, hands-on role that spans the entire accounting cycle, including invoice handling, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance work. Key responsibilities

  • Manage the complete set of accounts, including vendor invoice processing, payment arrangements, journal posting, inter-company charge recording, bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, fixed asset register updates, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Carry out month-end closing tasks and ensure journals, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities are completed on time.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions by coordinating with internal teams to prepare and reconcile entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Check balance sheet schedules against control accounts and complete reconciliations, including bank account checks.
  • Work with external auditors when needed.
  • Support statutory compliance activities such as filings, audits, and tax-related submissions, including GST.
  • Take on other finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of accounting experience is preferred, ideally with exposure to full sets of accounts.
  • A diploma or degree in a relevant discipline is required.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar office tools.
