About the internship
Join a fast-moving Telugu reel-reporting team focused on turning breaking updates and current affairs into short, highly engaging videos for Instagram. The role is centered on identifying relevant news, simplifying it into a quick narrative, and presenting it in a way that is crisp, clear, and appealing to Telugu audiences.
The organization is a Hyderabad-based hyperlocal short-news platform launched in 2015 by Raju Vanapala. It publishes breaking and local news across eight languages: Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bangla, and Gujarati, and also operates from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
What you will do
- Pick up current affairs and news developments that are suitable for reel-style coverage.
- Convert each topic into a concise 30–45 second format.
- Shoot reels that are visually sharp, easy to follow, and engaging for Telugu viewers.
- Help build a new, energetic Telugu reel-reporting lineup.
Who can apply
This opportunity is open to candidates who can commit to a full-time, in-office internship from Hyderabad, can begin between 19 June 2026 and 24 July 2026, and are available for the full 6-month duration. Eligibility and additional requirements
- Candidates must be Telugu speakers/students from Hyderabad only.
- Applicants should ideally come from a mass communications or journalism background.
- Those without a formal degree may also be considered if they are seriously interested in news and content creation as a career.
- Strong research ability is important, along with the ability to simplify both complex and straightforward topics into easy stories.
- Applicants should be able to explain a major daily story in under one minute.

Compensation
The internship offers a stipend of INR 10,000 per month.
Conversion opportunity
If selected for a permanent role after successful conversion, the expected annual compensation is INR 300000 to 330000.
